I'm back!

PostAuthor: azade_ » Thu Aug 30, 2007 8:35 pm

Back in old, boring Denmark now. Now I said I would take a lot of pictures, but actually I was so busy enjoying my time in Colemêrg that I rarely took any at all..which I'm regretting now of course.
This trip was so wonderful, because I have learnt everything about life there and I don't need everyone's help all the time. Before it was like, ehm; I didn't even know how to shower properly or go to the market by myself, but now there's nothing I can't do..except speak kurdish of course. Inshallah I'll be able to stay there longer time soon so I can start learning for real. I'm going to ask for help in the lyrics section any time soon because there's some songs I have been loving forever but just been too shy to ask about their meanings here. But now I wanna sing in kurdish :D
The military always give me so many problems when I go to Colemêrg, they always think I'm up to something sneaky somehow. But I got there and it was all worth it because I love my in laws so much and Colemêrg is my home now. I finally bought a silver belt which can be seen in the pictures, and some kurdish outfits as well. So anyway...these pictures are pretty much just usual vacation pictures but have a look anyway.

Breakfast in Colemêrg..wish I had taken the photo before I had finished it though.. :D

Going on a picnic with my brother in law and his friends just about 30 minutes from Colemêrg centrum

Prettiness! Colemêrg is so wonderful

The following pictures are from a day where all the girls dressed up because the guys were going to the mountains to work

They are wearing these clothes because they just got back from working in the mountains, and I had just come back from visiting an imam, no teasing :p :D

My brother in law, who's learning playing the saz. We'd stay up for hours in the night playing and talking

With my mother in law <3

My brother in laws daughter who's wedding I was supposed to attend, but I arrived 2 days too late. We went to Gewer to see her and her new in-laws. This is her, with her new husband and my husbands sister.

And finally me :D

sicpit - what's that? :D

Thanks for the compliments guys

Actually I do really enjoy dressing up in kurdish clothes when we're going to parties. I must have attended my first 50 weddings already  It's a unique and beautifulexperience every time and I just LOVE dancing, although I don't know all of them yet.

Here's some pictures from my first trip to north Kurdistan in October/November 2005:

Bidlîs:

I took loads of pictures on that trip but they're mostly of people. Later I'll post some of my second trip there.

By the way does anyone know where I can buy kurdish male clothes? I want my husband to wear it, I think it looks really sexy
