I'm feelin bright at the moment. Rate my translation:
''My name is Amy, I'm 21 years old. I'm from Virginia. My Kurdish isn't good...''
Oops brain fade. I'm confused again... :lol:

WELL DONE!!! :P

Yes, that is EXACTLY what it means... :wink: Now I think you must reward yourself with a chocolate bar for your good job! That will encourage you to try to understand more of it! Hahaha :lol:

I mean come on - it's not much different to "Min le Virginia me"... :roll:

Hello everyone!! Yes I am trying to learn Kurmanji...someone asked how I am learning..I have some Kurdish friends, and I love learning languages, so they help me <just a little> :) So yes I am from Virginia as someone else mentioned...I know a couple of people who speak Sorani so I should have them come on here...might be a little difficult though to write in Sorani with the whole Arabic script thing, its confuses the hell out of me. I can write it much better than I can read it, but on a computer, forget it lol Anyways anyone else wants to speak Kurmanji with me in the Kurdish thread, let me know!

Obviously, one doesn't need to write Soranî in Arabic script - it's personal choice...

And personally, I'd rather we get rid of the Arabic script once and for all...

I mean just like Kurmancî Kurds who use Cyrillic script (in Armenia, Georgia, Russia, Azarbaijan etc.) should switch over to Latin script...

Everybody can comprehend the Latin script/form - especially since English is written in this script...

Soranî:

@MissIndependent

Wa niye xûşkekem? Pêwîstîman niye be tipî Erebî... Kurdî bi tîpî Latînî zor cûwantire û asantire bo hemû layek û kesek... Îtir eger çend Kurdek îslamîst bilên "nexêr tîpî Erebî cûwantire"! :lol:
