ERBIL, May 29 (AKnews) - Duhok club was crowned the champion of Iraq's basketball super league for the fourth year in a row after beating al-Kark 80-71 points.

President of Iraq's basketball federation Hussein al-Amidi said the federation developed a new system to find the winner of the international tournament. A three-game set was held between the two teams to determine Iraq's basketball championship for the 2012 season.

Duhok club won the crucial first match against al-Kark in Dohuk 88-87 points with a difference of 10 points, while in the second game al-Kark beat Duhok 78-75 with a difference of 3 points.

A playoff match was held in Duhok yesterday.

To be honest with you, 2 players are kurdish who play regularly with the squad. But duhok B team is all kurdish players! Anyway, duhok has american players as well. They have to buy foreign players because Duhok competes in international games such as the asian basketball cup.

We dont have a national basketball team. In my post, i meant we hopefully win with the football national team at the VIVA.
