ERBIL, Aug.10 (AKnews)- Late September a Brazilian football school will be opened in Erbil's Ainkawa neighborhood, said the American investor of the project.
The school will be opened in Sports and Youth Center of Ainkawa is, said Walt Defoilt.
The investor said it is true that the project is a profit-making one but "it will help Kurdish children in learning football on scientific healthy basis which will qualify them for professional level locally and internationally."
After a delegation from the Real Madrid FC visited Kurdistan in February, the Ministry of Culture and Youth said the Spanish club has decided to open academic schools for football in Kurdistan but so far no steps have been taken for the construction of the schools.
On July 25 Safeen Kanabi, chairman of Kurdistan Football Association, said that he has also signed an agreement with the Italian Inter Milan FC for the construction of a football school in Erbil, capital of the Kurdistan Region.
