Did it help to calm the dragon?

Someone wrote (don't remember who) : 'there is nothing in the life that I could not forget when I read a good book'.

Even at the dawn of my capital punishment I would ask to the executor the 5 mn I need to finish my chapter.

Snow, snow, snow. For all the week.

Watched 'Bovines', a documentary about the life of cows in French country. They eat, sleep, give birth, in beautiful meadows and hills, and at the end they go to the butcher or they see their calfs going to the butcher. Poor cows, we could say. But if men stop to eat meal, cows will stop to exist on earth, or just a bunch in zoo, like horses when they were replaced by machines.

A vegan world is a planet where mankind and carrots will stay face to face, each others, without beasts. Cows are still living because we are murders.

One of my favorite philosopher publishes a book though he is dead since 2 years. That is an international conspiracy against my piggy bank if even dead authors continue to make books.

You are so lucky we have had very little snow in South East England :((

Good point but my relations had farms and I could NEVER eat meat. However, I do eat fish and poultry :D

The man is Lucien Jerphagnon, a scholar who studied Ancient philosophy, and the book is L'homme qui riait avec les dieux (the man who laughed with gods).

I don't separate philosophy and action, like Ancient Greeks. After all, Socrates was a good soldier.

I have nothing to do, except reading. As I can't play may-jong, I think I will open the I Ching Office again :D

Question: Will the Kurds in Turkey wake up and elect a new leader? And I do NOT mean the fools from the BDP :D

So concerning at first my own trouble :

18. Work on what has been spoilt and decay

I don't like this hexagram. It is like opening a box full of rotten things and worms

So the special answers to my trouble :

2. Setting right what has been spoiled by the mother. One must not be too persevering.

Means : Do not think too much of that problem, don't try to resolve it, or you'll block the situation.

I Ching always give me advices of moderation. I NEVER have advice of 'go on and punch him !' I wonder if I am such a brute in real life :-s

5. Setting right what has been spoiled by the father. One meets with praise.

The problem has been identified and is now resolved, with the satisfaction of both parties.

yeaaaaah wheeeen ? :ymapplause:

the advice : 53. Development :
The maiden
Is given in marriage.
Good fortune.
Perseverance furthers.

So there is progression toward my own aim, but slowly and with hesitation. If I am able to accept the slow way to reach it, without impatience, I will succeed. What I have to be : Perseverant and determined.

As I say, I Ching ALWAYS tell me to be PATIENT. :ymtongue:

Fortunately, I am also perseverant and determined.

So now i can care about the fate of thse crazy Northern Kurds. :D

Question: Will the Kurds in Turkey wake up and elect a new leader?

21. Biting Through has success.
It is favorable to let justice be administered.

The sole hexagram without mutant step means that the situation, for the moment, has no evolution, and is static or blocked.

And in the case of this hexagram that is more true : the situation is blocked by someone or something who prevents UNITY and it is necessary to BITE with energy for getting rid of the person that blocks the situation and reunite the separated parts : "Whenever unity cannot be established, the obstruction is due to a talebearer and traitor who is interfering and blocking the way."

So the answer is that they should do THAT but for the moment they don't move and as so long as they won't react, it will stay bad.

I strongly believe, for the sake of WK as much as anything else, now is the time for UNITY :ymparty:

I Ching is like an old and malicious Chinese Uncle Li advising brainless youth… ;)

The I Ching must be good because it agrees with my thoughts

But as a Chinese, I Ching is also a skillful and subtle strategist like its compatriot Sun Zu. So Kurds should better listen to I Ching than their own leaders, concerning power and politics, Chinese nation is better than Kurdish one. :-D
