10 June

Today I ate the most delicious chocolates I have ever eaten

Freeze dried strawberries covered in white Belgian chocolate :x

I have decided to marry the first man who brings me a LARGE box of these chocolates

He had better be quick because I am going to start work soon :ymdevil:

Soon this will be all that is left of the 10,000 year old city of Hasankeyf in North Kurdistan

Ocalan has given Hasankeyf to Turkey X(

Ocalan has given the Kurds to Turkey :ymsick:

Kurds should be proud of their heritage and protect it's artefacts for the generations of Kurds as yet unborn #-o

It is far easier to protest NOW to save Hasankeyf than for YOUR KURDISH GRANDCHILDREN
to have to wear all this in order to view Hasankeyf in years to come :ymdevil:

Kurds divided, torn apart
Devoid of culture, broke of heart
This should never ever be
We are Kurdish set us FREE

Being Kurdish should be fun
For mother, daughter, father, son
If you are Kurdish shout aloud
I AM KURDISH, I AM PROUD

Hasankeyf, which hosted countless civilizations, faced wars and destructions through ages but managed to survive, is about to disappear forever with its 12 thousand years history... :((

Sipan was the MOST intelligent Kurdish man I have ever known - unfortunately he died in a terrible crash a couple of years ago (RIP Sipan)

Sipan helped and encouraged me to learn more about the background of Kurds :ymhug:

Sipan loved to do his own research on Kurdish history :D

PLEASE view the following links that his work is not forgotten :x

Cadbury voted coolest brand by young Brits ahead of Apple, Facebook and Google

The rest of the top 20 blow away the myth 16 to 34-year-olds are an “I want” generation hooked on shiny gizmos

Chocolate maker Cadbury has pipped hi-tech giants Apple, Google and Facebook to become the coolest brand for trendy young Brits.

And the rest of the top 20 blow away the myth 16 to 34-year-olds are an “I want” generation hooked on shiny gizmos.

It shows traditional labels from Heinz beans to Walkers crisps are closer to their hearts.

The Generation Y and Brand Loyalty report found despite the hype around pricey must-have products such as smartphones and games consoles, affordable treats were rated higher.

Apple just scraped into the top 20 at 19 with video games by Nintendo (67), Sony (73) and Microsoft (80) well down the list.

Instead, Pringles, Walkers, Coke, Galaxy and Kellogg’s were in the top 10 of the top 100 compiled by marketing website Woot! Media.

McDonald’s was the under-35s’ favourite fast food restaurant and they preferred Ben & Jerry’s ice cream to Haagen-Dazs.

The BBC was voted the best entertainment channel ahead of Channel 4 which traditionally caters for youth culture.

Supermarket chain Tesco hovered outside the top 20 at 21, 14 places ahead of Sainsbury’s and 18 above Asda.

Smirnoff vodka was the young people’s best booze brand, ahead of Baileys, Jack Daniel’s, Budweiser and Bulmers.

Social networking failed to make a huge impression with Facebook at number 10, but Twitter was way down at 69, behind traditionally older generation brands Marks & Spencer and John Lewis.

Nike was the coolest clothing brand at number 40 with rival Adidas at 50.

Woot! Media said: “Our research shows the young are surprisingly more fond of traditional brands.”
Top 20 cool brands

1. Cadbury

2. Amazon

3. Pringles

4. Walkers

5. Heinz

6. Google

7. Coca Cola

8. Galaxy

9. Kellogg’s

10. Facebook

11. Kit Kat

12. YouTube

13. Maltesers

14. BBC

15. Ben & Jerry’s

16. McDonald’s

17. McVitie’s

18. Nestle

19. Apple

20. Mars

I am delighted that Hassan Rouhani won the Iranian presidential election :ymparty:

I am sute that he will bring peace to the entire region :ymapplause:

It is expected that Hassan Rouhani will release some of the political prisoners.

Hopefully Kurds will benefit from his more moderate views.

"Hassan Rouhani victory of moderation over extremism"

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=12851

PLEASE take the time to read about Hassan Rouhani

While Iran will be becoming more moderate under Hassan Rouhani's guidance, Turkey may well be heading in the opposite direction. If fact erDOGan is starting to look very similar to Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Remember, it is erDOGan's intention to do away with Turky's secular constitution in favour of an Islamic constitution, grant the Turkish Presidency almost the same far reaching powers as that of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and make himself president :ymsick:

Green and Blacks :-*

I wish Cadbury would bring out a box of Dairy Milk with only the soft centred chocolates in :x

No Tesco near me

Found this photo - not sure if it is something Cadbury plan to bring out soon or if it is a photo-shop image - but if it is real I will be the first in lie when it is launched :ymdevil:

16 June

We almost had summer this afternoon :D

Well at least it stopped raining and I was warm enough to turn my central heating of - no idea what the weather will be tomorrow - something unpleasant I expect :-ss

I suppose most people in RBK land are in lovely warm sunny countries :ymsigh:

I hope that everyone is keeping up with events surrounding Iran's new leader Hassan Rouhani - I believe that he is the right choice - especially as he is a cleric and he will not be seen and trying to make changes from the outside - more he will be able to make positive changes from within :ymapplause:

17 June

SUMMER HAS ARRIVED :ymparty:

This morning we had the most fantastic bright red sunrise - I was expecting rain, hail, sleet, thunder and gales - instead we had a lovely warm bright sunny day :D

Rather negates the old adage "Red sky at night shepherds delight - red sky in the morning shepherds warning" :-\

I spent the day wandering around in the sunshine - relaxing and listening to the birds - you probably realise I do not live in London :o)

I have decided to ask people what they think are the advantages/disadvantages of marriage :ymdevil:
