But who gives weapons to YPG and trains them ? I doubt that for the moment YPG can stand alone without PKK support (or PJAK). But I agree that among all PKK branches there is not a clear and single leadership anymore : Öcalan is the big ? at the center of their decisions and political lines.

I do not think the PKK know what it is doing any more - it side-tracked the best leader it had - Murat Karayılan - who dedicated the greater part of his life to the Kurdish cause living in the mountains alongside the freedom fighters - something that a certain other well known but totally inept so-called leader did not do

The PKK need young more adaptable intelligent leaders 8-}

The PKK is fast losing the propaganda war in Turkey and hopes for more support through the social networks - they would have achieved more by publicising Kurdish culture and education rather trying to glorify their part in the fighting X(

I agree much of the military expertise is passed on from PKK, but I would guess the urban Warfare, but I think that the urban and conventional warfare expertise is not all from PKK, there are many ex Syrian military people who joined YPG. It is a grass roots defense force made of mostly local support, and the weapons are mostly coming from Syrian supplies that are captured, not from the PKK.

PKK , PYD , PJAK , BDP are practically one single party with different names in different part of Kurdistan . Such unity pays off great in bad times and their recent success in Western Kurdistan is directly related to that .It feels like we are complaining about Kurdish unity here :-D . PYD is as independent from PKK as BDP or PJAK is .

Facebook is in the business of making money and being used by all countries including turkey to do a job for a price . You can get them to do almost anything for the right price or do you actually believe that Mark Zuckerberg is the man behind it ? Get real , the bottom line in all businesses is money only .

It is hard to believe that it is about money, I hate to say it, but I would guess that Turkey ased the US gov to.make FB do it.

Qandil call all the shots unless Apo says it otherwise . Day to day operations are done independently .

Even if your assumption is true , it still boils down to interests which translates to money right ? Do you think Facebook was created for humanitarian reasons ? When it comes to countries and corporation it is always about money .
