I know that I am probably older than some people on this forum - BUT - am I really the only person who remembers the happy relationship Assad had with the PKK - he was actually financially supporting them because he got on so well with them?

Not forgetting Assad's good friend and honoured guest - now who remembers the name of Assad's good friend - I remember - though I think I must be the only person who does - Assad's good friend and honoured was called OCALAN X(

Kurds in Syria should remember that old adage "The friend of your enemy is your enemy"

Geneva 2 - what is going to happen - not a lot X(

The UN should start by rounding up all the non-Syrian born people in the country - and throw them out

Stop weapon sales to everyone

No-fly zone over Kurdish area

Stop calling Western Kurdistan Rojava - calling it Rojava divides it even more from the rest of Kurdistan X(

Over the past few weeks I have complained about flooding in the UK - many of the fields still have surface water on them - in many areas the ground is so saturated that there is nowhere for the water to go - we are expecting more heavy rain this weekend

The BBC video on the site below at 8pm TODAY shows just how bad the flooding still is in some areas - happy viewing :ymsick:

I want everyone coming to this forum to view the following post and share the video with as many people as possible

The world should see for themselves the horror of a tiny child being buried alive by the bombing in Aleppo - and share the joy we all feel at seeing the child being dug out of the ruins ALIVE

Feel the frustration and hope of the men desperately digging in the rubble with their bare hands - without the help of any specialist equipment - such as that used in earthquakes - we should all marvel that this one small child was saved - yet at the same time be aware of those who could not be found in time

Who caused this - who bombed the building where this child was - nobody will ever convince me that the building was a military target - the person responsible must be tried in the International Court for War Crimes

Child dug out alive in Allepo bombed out building

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=14551

Please share the video - let everyone see what is happening - post your comments on THAT and show that you care

Ocalan reached out to Barzani in a letter that deals with the situation of the Syrian Kurds

If Ocalan were to stop being used by the Turkish regime - stop helping to suppress Kurds within Turkey - stop saying that he does not want Kurds to have independence - and tell the Kurds that it is time Turkish Kurds united with those in Syria - helped and supported each other - and declared independence - then there would be very little that anyone could do to prevent them from succeeding

A unity between the Kurds of North Kurdistan and those of Western Kurdistan would involve approximately 35 million people - and if 35 MILLION Kurds decided to unite there is almost nothing anyone could do to prevent it from happening

The main stumbling block is Ocalan who is being used to suppress Kurds - since his recent involvement Kurds have become divided - the PKK lacks support - it once had over 60,000 fighters and a few million supporters - now the numbers have decreased considerably

The Turkish military has markedly increased its incursion into the Kurdish homeland to the East of Turkey - the home-guard spying network has shown a vast increase in numbers

The voice of the silent Kurdish majority has effectively been silenced - they are only allowed the occasional well organised protest in order to make them believe that their voice still counts for something

Wake up Kurds you are being manipulated and suppressed and many of you do not even realise it - wake up before it is too late and your children and their children are deprived forever of their Kurdish identity X(

Unbelievably parts of England are still flooded - all the fields near me are still waterlogged - but luckily nowhere near as bad as the flooding in Somerset

UK floods: Aerial view of Somerset Levels

Pumping stations around the Somerset Levels are pumping thousands of tonnes of water per second back into the River Parrett, after weeks of heavy rain and flooding.

Farmers in the area have demonstrated against the Environment Agency for failing to dredge the rivers. The agency says it has pumps working "around the clock" to drain the water but that dredging is not always the best or most economic solution.

The BBC's Sarah Ransome says some communities are cut off entirely.
