War of Attrition

Am I the only person in the world who sees exactly what the Islamic State is doing?

YES there is something or someone inherently EVIL at their core

But they are NOT a group of mindless savages

I believe that at their core they have some brilliant strategists

They are conducting a war of attrition

For the most part the Islamic State have attacked weak targets

They have taken over many small villages

Killed many people who were unequipped to defend themselves

Killed and enslaved countless thousands of Yazidis

Executed 700 al-Sheitaat tribe members in Syria

Now they are on verge of committing genocide at Amerli

The Islamic State are fast winning the propaganda war

(thanks to the media with their ethos of "If it bleeds in leads")

So much so that by the time the Islamic State approached Mosul

Even the army ran away in fear

IS are installing a culture of fear within the Sunni population

So much so that many Sunnis view the Islamic State as liberators

The Shia/Shiite population of Iraq are terrified

With good reason after the way Baghdad has treated the Sunnis

America is right in defending the Kurds

But do they have the right to side with the Shia/Shiite

Against the disenfranchised Sunni population

? ? ?

Has the Islamic State been beaten back by the American air strikes as is claimed?

I think not - I think it is a well thought out tactical withdrawal

I also think that now the Islamic State are up against America

I S will gain much more support among the Sunni community

Many of whom view them as saviours from Shia/Shiite oppression

If the I S propaganda machine is as discerning as I believe it to be

Far from being deterred by being up against the might of America

It will give the Islamic State even greater kodus

One cannot bomb the I S out of existence

One has to shame them out of existence

Show them to be the betrayers of Islam we know them to be

Every act of violence against the innocent that I S preform

MUST be countered in the media by quotes from the Quran

Showing those acts of violence to be un-Islamic

Use the very religion they purport to support against them

Show the members of the Islamic State

They are acting against the will of ALLAH

What is the future of the PKK ???

The Peshmerga were freedom fighters

The PKK were freedom fighters

The Peshmerga are the Army Of South Kurdistan

The PKK are now terrorists

Sadly Ocalan has sold out the PKK and they will NEVER be the Army of North Kurdistan

By denying the cause for Kurdish Independence Ocalan has turned the PKK from freedom fighters into terrorists

Joyfully I believe that a great many Kurds inside Turkey still believe in Kurdish Independence

My hope is that one day SOON the PKK will have a new leader who will be able to inspire them to PROTEST and UNITE for INDEPENDENCE

Until that time the PKK will probably remain classed as a terrorist organisation

Technically the PKK could only be classed as freedom fighters while they were fighting for freedom

The fighters of the PKK deserve a far better fate

Many THOUSANDS of PKK fighters have died for INDEPENDENCE

The PKK should be removed from the list of terrorist organisations out of respect to all those who gave their lives for freedom

If we remember that, until recently, booth KDP and PUK were also on that list, we can suppose it will take time to US before removing the PKK.

GOOD POINT :ymapplause:

What will be the future of the PKK now that they are no longer fighting for independence ???

I had friends within the PKK and some of them died fighting for independence

I remember the things they said - their passion and their sadness

Those people deserve recognition

They deserve a leaders who will inspire them

Someone who will use the vast international network that they have built up over the years - to bring about international support for Northern Kurdistan Independence

Kurds living under the control of Turkish army of occupation - are still being treated as third-class citizens

Turkish control of the PKK via Ocalan has to stop

Either the PKK and Kurdish people all rise up and demand Ocalan's freedom and relocation to another country

OR

Kurds ignore him and start a genuinely peaceful campaign for Independence

2 things are happening at the moment:

The Turkish regime is building more military outposts and increasing their stranglehold within the Kurdish area

Many young Kurds are becoming more interested in fighting for freedom

Enough lives have been lost

If enough Kurds stood up and demanded Independence from Turkey

The Internal community would have to take action

Turkey itself would not be able to deny the demands of over 25 MILLION KURDS

The stronger South Kurdistan becomes - the more restless Kurds living under the oppressive Turkish regime will become

I believe they need strong leadership and guidance or

ALL HELL WILL BREAK LOSE

Shows that the human race is breeding itself out of existence X(

Most people in UK have only 1 or 2 children except on social housing projects where people tend to breed as rats - and tax payers such as myself have to pay to support them X(

Always a sore subject for me

If someone has 6 children why should I pay to support them X(

I loathe people who commit crimes and so cost me money to support them in prison with a similar venom X(

If I were asked where I want my tax money to go to - it would be to help farming projects :D

James Brown "Say it loud I'm black and I'm proud"

We need someone to rewrite this song and bring out a version entitled:

SAY IT LOUD I'M KURD AND I'M PROUD

As the weeks turn into months

World leaders are still in a quandary about how to help solve the problems in Iraq

Unable to turn back time and prevent all the atrocities the Shiite government meted out on the Sunni population - most of Iraq is now suffering the consequences - and may well do so for the foreseeable future

As I have said all along - kick a dog enough time it will eventually turn round and bite

Shiite treated the Sunnis as dogs and did a great deal of metaphorical kicking over a number of years - they deserve to be bitten

The Shiite government should have been taken to International court for their imprisonment, rape, torture and murder of INNOCENT Sunni women

Had the International community taken action against the Baghdad government at that time - the Sunnis would have been far less likely to allow the Islamic State to gain a foothold in Iraq

But though the Shiite's despicable treatment of the Sunni population was blatantly obvious - until the Islamic State came to their aid (which is how many Sunni view I.S.) - nobody came to their assistance

As the Islamic State becomes more entwined with the Sunni community inside Iraq the big question is:

What is the international community able to do?

It cannot give the oppressive Shiite government weapons to use against the Sunni population

It cannot give the oppressed Sunni's weapons to use against the government because of the Islamic State's entanglement with the Sunni population

It should have helped the Sunnis years ago

In fact America should NOT have pulled out and allowed the Shiite government to gain control over the Sunni population

America should have made sure that both Sunni and Shiite had equal rights within Iraq and withinh the Iraqi government

As soon as the Shiites in Baghdad started their rein of terror against the Sunnis - America should have intervened

As I have already stated elsewhere:

But for the Islamic State infiltration within the Sunni population - America would have had to support the Sunnis against the dictatorial and oppressive Shiite government

Now all anyone can do is support the Kurds :ymparty:

Why is Erdogan turning Turkey into an Islamic state?

Remember Erdogan is a Sunni

Also remember the Islamic State (while still a part of the Free Syrian Army) received a great deal of support from Turkey - it's fighters went into Turkey and received treatment in Turkish hospitals - supplies and weapons went across the Turkish border into Syria

When the Islamic State looks for somewhere else to expand into - thanks to Endogan - Turkey looks to be the next target :-$
