first of of all so happy to see you here ,
I am in iranian kurdistan ,Iran is safe !
but why you want to go to iran first then iraqi kurdistan?

yuo can fly to hewler directly.

and kurdish wedding is so nice , you will like it ...(well if they know how to manage things if they dont manage things it wont be that much cool)
First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then YOU WIN !

Actually there are even planned trips directly from frankfurt to Hawler... well this airline has been promising it since last year http://www.ishtarairlines.com/flight_info.html
but it probably will start this summer

It's really a good name! - Ishtar-
But indeed.. I hope it doesn't become to expensive, because I heard about trips only businessmen could afford (??_)
The suppression of ethnic cultures and minority religious groups in attempting to forge a modern nation were not unique to Turkey but occurred in very similar ways in its European neighbours - Bruinessen.

Vlad, yeah it is quite pricey... but much cheaper and more comfortable than go to a neighbouring country pay for a visa, take at least one internal flight, pay for a driver and then there are the mandatory bribes along the way.
So u have to pay for all this plus take a 2 day journey.. i dont think the price is that much of a difference plus it would only take a max of a few hours

kchi_narwiji! You have a BABY....BASHA! and mozel tov and congratulations....You are a bride too so double that! I hope you get to have your party

I think it would be better to pay a higher fee to go direct to Hawler too. I know many people say the bribes are very high, and the trip is very long...and the baby will be happier without going on such a long car trip.

Please let us know about the trip, and the baby too, and the party. I hope you have a great trip.
