MUSUL (16.02.2007)- Musul'a bağlı Şêxan İlçesi'nde bir kadının eşinin baskısından dolayı evinden kaçarak iki Ezidi gence sığınmasıyla başlayan olaylar durulmuyor.

Bölgeye intikal eden güvenlik güçlerine rağmen olayların yatıştırılamamasından dolayı Ezidilerin Siyasi Lideri Mir Tahsin Beg Xanik, Qadiyan ve Laleş İlçesi'nde toplatığı 2 bin silahlı adamıyla Ezidilerin can ve mal güvenliğini korumak amacıyla Şêxan'a geçti.

I would like to register my sympathy and support for the victims of this barbaric attack on one of the old and earliest Mesopotamian people, the Yezidi. I was appalled to hear of this attack on the people, culture and Heritage of the Yezidis. But sadly now the law of the jangle is ruling Iraq from North to South, its all system go for Arab to Arabiz Iraq and Kurd to Kurdify it. But the Yazids will always have the support of their Assyrian brothers. Image

For your information, Yezidi's are KUrdish.
The suppression of ethnic cultures and minority religious groups in attempting to forge a modern nation were not unique to Turkey but occurred in very similar ways in its European neighbours - Bruinessen.

Yezîdîs [Êzidî, Yezdanî] could be considered purest Kurds. Yezdanism is the purest Kurdish religion [which has no stranger elements comparing with Alevism or Yaresanism which have some Islamic and Christian elements] that its followers are Kurdish all.
Kurds are Kurds. I'm Jewish by blood and I always introduce myself a Kurd [though I'm half Kurdish]. No matter which religion or religious believes we have, "we are Kurdish and sons of Kurdistan".

No they arent the purest kurds, so dont say your more ultimate than me.

I'm shia muslim kurd, and im a kurd just as much as everybody else who loves their ethnicity. Just because you still believe in something they did a thousand years earlier doesnt it mean they are more kurdish. But thats how I like to think.

Anyways, the kurd who kills someone from his own, is not a kurd to me

I will say only one think to all those who claim that Yezidis are Kurds, I feel sorry for you because you are a victim or Kurdifications, but I can’t blame you because you live among kurds for many years and they are doing a great job of protecting you!!!

There are lots of countries with people who speak different languages, so its nothing unusual, the most important thing is that we all come from the mountains, and we joined our groups long time ago, which makes our people the same, and yes we would be able to communicate. But its funny how you try to make us angry, too bad you arent doing a good job doing so.

Im a kurd and theres nothing that can take my pride away, let us have thousands of different languages, in the future, when we all unite, we will be able to communicate, and our language would be one.

And cultures what are you talking about, thats what we have most common.

The assyrians were killed because of Saddam, but did they even dare to say anything? No they didnt, they were afraid that he would kill more of them, now when the kurds rule the states, they make propaganda that isnt even backed up by proof.

Please. This is no place for more strife. I don't know why this happened. I wish to know more and confirm it. I would like to know if anything can be done to help.

In US, no one can understand a lot of people. Like there are groups who only speak french, and some only cuban or other spanish....so what does that have to do with it? In UK, I don't think someone from Liverpool understands Erse. In Switzerland there are four different langunages and in South Africa there are 36 different languages and tribes, cultures, dress, etc....

But these are fellow Kurds who live in Kurdistan. They should be under Kurdish protection.
Never look down on somebody unless you are helping them up.
