Are blue eyes prevalent among Kurdish people? In Armenia, you can go to villages in the mountains where people have blue eyes and light hair. Seeing Armenians with blue eyes is not that uncommon actually.

That's interesting. My relatives come from Southern Armenian lands, and thus there isn't any blue eyes or light hair in my family, but it is interesting nonetheless. the blue eyes light hair feature in kurds shows the aryan heritage, along with Armenians. It is hypothesized that the proto-Armenian tribes were majority light hair blue eyes.

I wonder if my children will have such looks? Maybe only at a very young age.

It's likely, if you know anyone in your family, grandparents were blond then its likely, my grandmother was blonde, so my kids might be blond also.

hmm, my grandparents all have had dark hair, my grandmothers maybe was on the lighter side but not blond. It's just interesting to think how my kids would look with a Armenian or Kurdish women vs. a stereotypical light haired Swedish woman..

Well its still likely, I'v seen two dark kurds have a blond child.. usualy most kurds carry the gene, and most families have a light haired child, but for some reason their hair usualy change has they grow, some don't and some do.

That's an interesting case, because light hair and blue eyes are recessive features. When I was young I had light hair as well, so maybe I carry the gene as well? I guess if most kurds carry the gene, and I had child with kurdish woman the children would have light hair in the young age.

Most likely, i had light hair too when I was a baby, but as I got older it turned black. if you had light hair, then its possible your kids have it too, depending on the woman features too, the chances might increase.

Yes, I know some Armenians who are blond haired, blue eyed and are full blooded Armenians. It is interesting though, you will find such complexions among Kurds, Armenians, Georgians, but not among Persians that much or definitely not Arabs.

Don't forget europeans migrated from the middle east ;) and most likely armenia too. So europeans look like us, not the other way around, and you should not be suprised, europe is generaly cold, so they stay white their whole life, where as we get a permenant tan, and hair colour most likely changed due to the envoiremntal conditions, like I said people in moutains are still blonde, since its much more cool there.

Yes that makes sense. Actually it is said that the first Armenians came from Thrace and the Balkans, and mixed with the indigenous Caucasian groups that were living in the present day Armenian highlands. However, wouldn't more sunlight cause hair to have a lighter pigment?

Thats true, but in that same sence you'd think that sunlight would cuase someones skin to go lighter, but it doesnt :)
