i know i am kurdish when i see whats going on in Slemanyi and my heart is broken. Kurdish people shouldnt behave like arabs and destroy their own city with stones, there are other ways to solve the problems. i am really not happy with that...

Almost all of these are true, although of course only Iraqi and Syrian Kurds call pepsi "bebsi", because there's no "p" in Arabic (All Arabs do this too, and I have started doing it too because I think it's so cute, but NO Turkish Kurds or even Arabs seem to do it, and they always ask me why I'm doing it), but I wanted to point out my favourite one because of a personal experience:

-when our parents classify everything from tobacco to wine all the way to crack under one label DRUGS.

Ez, meta jina min û diya jina min di mal de bûn. Ez sodayeke lîmon ji dolav girtim, û met... ah! Here in the present tense they say something like "dije"... does anyone recognise that verb? Anyway the met says "Na! Ew dermane! O ilaç! İlaç! İçme!" And I said "Met, bu ilaç değil, limonlu sodadır." And she laughed a relieved laugh, but then I realised she thought alcohol was "derman/ilaç" As if I wouldn't drink alcohol... Well not in front of her I guess.

Which for some reason reminds me of Hiner Saleem. Has anyone else here seen his films?

iraqi Kurds, turkish Kurds.... - sad. i wonder if you stop it one day or not.
So my brothers - you are not just Kurds - you have to be "someones' ' Kurds.

for you information - we have the languge called sorani, and its not ARABIC. and we have letter "P". maybe we call coffe - 'Qawa", coz of lack of letter "K"?
so what is your theory about the word "Kebab" - "kebap"?

Kulka, I am sorry but you are just as paranoid as the Kemalists. You misunderstand everything I say, seemingly on purpose, just as they do.

Of course you are not "someone"s Kurds, but there are differences between different kinds of Kurds. It doesn't make the Germans in Romania the "property" of Romanians if I refer to them as "Romanian Germans". I know you speak Sorani Kurdish and of course it has a "p" sound, but the joke referred to above, about "bebsi" is a reflection of the Arabic language being forced on you, not Sorani's phonology. If you personally don't say "bebsi", then you should take it up with the person who posted that, not me. It is a fact that no Kurd (or Arab) in Turkey says "bebsi" that I have ever heard because of the Turkish language being forced on them and it having a "p" sound (as does Kurdish, so for Turkish Kurds it does not even matter). This is not even a "North-South" issue, so on this issue I cannot say "Northern Kurdistan", because the problem is totally the fault of the Ba'athist and Kemalist regimes and has nothing to do with the Kurds themselves.

You say "qawa" because that's an Arabic word, the Europeans say it with a "k" sound because of their lack of a letter "q" Kebap is a Turkish corruption of the original "b" pronunciation, which I don't know if that's Indo-European or Arabic, but it's DEFINITELY not Turkish. I'm not actually sure what these examples have in common or what you're trying to prove  But I have another one for you: Farsi. If I admit (as ALL Persians admit) that they say "Farsi" because of the lack of a "p" sound in Arabic, does that mean that I don't acknowledge the Persian language as existing? Does it mean I think Persians "belong" to the Arabs? Of course not. The only difference with Kurds is that the filthy Ba'athists and Kemalists have spent so long telling everyone that the Kurds don't exist and they aren't a nation and they are the "property" of other peoples that some Kurds (like you) seem to believe that all non-Kurds who don't speak exactly like you must ALSO believe this nonsense. But I assure you it's not true. Just as you accuse me (out of paranoia) of denying Kurdish nationhood, of believing the Kurds should submit to Kemalist or Ba'athist authority, of trying to divide the Kurds, the filthy Kemalists accuse me (out of paranoia) of attacking Turks, of being a fanatical Kurdish nationalist, of trying to "divide" Anatolia (the Kemalists did that themselves, neither I nor the Kurds are at all responsible for the stupid Turkish state's existence). But I am not pro or anti-Kurdish. I am pro-justice, and the Kurdish people need justice, just as all peoples deserve it.

If I am such a strong supporter of the oppressors of the Kurds, such a denier of your nationhood, why is my icon your flag, which is illegal under the stupid laws of the Kemalist republic?

in almost every post you repeat that you are so pro kurdish and so good supporter of Kurdistan. But your verbal attitude doesnt match it. so let me to explain to your - for your further knowledge what are the "kinds" (as you kindly call it) of Kurds. We not only have the country which has a name, but also a parts of our country have its names - thats what i explained to you before - bakur, bashur, etc. so if you talk about different "kinds" (cute word in that contex) of Kurds, you can very easy reffer them to the area where they live - for example bashuri Kurds. but as i said we not only have the name for the parts of our country. we also have languages, which have names too. So we have kurmandji and sorani, the most common two, and also badhini, zazaki, hawrami, gorani... as you see you can very easy say which Kurds you refer too - if from south Kurdistan - you can say - sorani Kurds (unless they are hawrami or badhini) - and the same apply to kurdmandji Kurds (that what you should write when you post about the language stuff). why you say "turkish Kurds"? these people live on their own land, in their country called Kurdistan - so they are nothing but kurdish Kurds. its not nice if you call our people like that. you are calling our people with our enemies name, which is double nasty. try to respect the fact that even if not independent - we do have our own country and our own nation, and the land where Kurds live, belongs to Kurds from ages. we didnt came from nowhere, like turks and steal others land, killing their owners. look, you calling us with the name of those, who took the land where we live by force. think about it.

i can also say that you are paranoid to use this terms, which you yourself consider as legal. soon you are going to call Kurds from north - "mountain turks" - you are very close to that using the term "turkish Kurds". dont you thing that you are as consequent in that as Kemalists?
we are not orphans to call us by enemies name, na arabm, na iranim, na turkeki shaxistanm, nak har mn xom, mejuush dale, ka Kurdm u Kurdistanm.

Your paranoia is really strong and you clearly are out of touch with reality. I would never dare call the noble Kurds living in Turkey "Mountain Turks" except to mock the filthy Turkish Republic. I just wonder how you hope to see the Kurds here freed when I am more radical than most Kurds living in the North. Really, you could talk like this in Turkey and the people calling you a radical would be Kurds, not because you're wrong, but because they have been brainwashed by Kemalist education. So if people like me are "anti-Kurdish" or "enemies" or think that Kurds are Turks (they are not and I have never said this and anyone who isn't you can see I have never said this, even the term Turkish Kurds doesn't imply ownership, it is merely how I refer to their unfortunate citizenship at present, which I'm against, as I am for the overthrow of the Turkish government, but again, that's more radical than most Kurds in this country and yet somehow you think I'm the enemy), then most Kurds in this country are your enemy too. Really, I said it before and I'll say it again: Most of your accusations against me have no connection to reality and it shows that you are so used to being attacked by Arabs and Turks who think they have the right to tell Kurds what the Kurds rights are that you can't believe that there are people who aren't Kurds and who might disagree with you about some minor points who would do so for any reason other than hating Kurds. But with this attitude you'll never convert the Turks, and you might even scare away many Kurds who (unfortunately) have Turkish citizenship, who will sadly fall victim to the Kemalist campaign against their culture, language and nationhood. You will of course ignore all of this, but I want other people reading to understand my position: The Kurdish nation, which is its own nation and has its own languages, culture and homeland and is not part of any other nation nor does any state have any right to control it or tell it what its right are, which is not free anywhere on Earth, even on its homeland, must not (in its quest for liberation) lose sight of reality, because in doing so they may well either underestimate or overestimate the enemy, a classic mistake of revolutionaries.

I don't know why you're using the Arabic names for a place that now (thank G-d) has Kurdish as an official language, except that you think I think it's better that way. Again, your lack of connection to reality. Enjoy.
