I have been used to say xashtam for sleepy and for tired I say ilak and I think that's more correct kurdish but I never say it.
I say xastham for both sleepy and tired.

I think atwanin is more correct for we can but I am not sure if you say that anyway is faylee so then it is correct. I say dar tchu for he ran.He is running= dar atche.

sorani is also xwe except the y. But I also say namak does anyone know where that may come from?
Maybe some azeri influence. But according to my kurdish teacher namak is kurdish. Namak/xwe tak tamata= salt with tomato. Wouldn't it be easier with xö?

these ones sound like you got em from persians as well

since persians say ,
bedu = run
resid = he arrived
miresed = he is arriving

i think if a Sorani speaks persians, he/she can understand Feylis better than compared with a kurmanji

is that at- before the verb the same as kurmancî di- or hewleri de- before the verb? if so its well bewared from old kurdish it had probably et- or ed- as prefix. we say tzanî.

kurmanci:
zanî = knew (now)
dizanî = knew (past)

azanî= do you know

awan zanî= they knew
That's how I say it.

do you know = tu dizane ?
did you know = te zani bu ?

they knew = ew zani bun

is that at- before the verb the same as kurmancî di- or hewleri de- before the verb? if so its well bewared from old kurdish it had probably et- or ed- as prefix. we say tzanî.
