we in Kirkuk were deprived and prevented from having Kurdish schools until 2003 , i perosnally cant "write" in Sorani but can read it entirely . having said that , now all of my relatives send their kids to Kurdish schools and since 2004 , almost 100s of Kurdish schools have opened up in Kirkuk , something that would have been a "dream" before 2003 .

but i can write in Latin letters no problem.

i have never heard xor/xwer for sun. do you also use roj for sun? because we use only roj in kurmanci.
