my uncles wanna come too,but they are busy tomorrow. however, they are not very busy on Thursdays . (they own a "hair stylist" shop)
i recommend the cold war series (i posted 2 pics on the last page) if your interested in only the big events during the cold war ;)
the "a day in the life ivan denisovich" looks very interesting. can you tell a little more about it? is it based on a true story?
in norway we have lots of english classes, especially durning 8-12th class. and i have learned alot on the internet as well

yeah thanks i am looking to read abit about the cold war
denisovich is based on one russian prisoners day in a soviet jail, tarting from the morning till bed time, thats pretty much it, but one day is enough to make you understand how his jail sentence will be spent, im not 100% on if its a true story i think its based on the authors experiences

there a few spots that kurds need to visit when coming to london, not exactly breath taking but not bad considering

hmm. sounds like a interesting book.
no,i havent read any russian novels :? ive read some books where people tell about life under nazi-germany(a friend of mine have 2 books about that, one of them is the famous "The Diary of Anne Frank ".also, in many of the books ive read there were a quote of real survivors. i remember this Quote.maybe some words are different, but its almost same(a soviet prisoner): "When stalin died,we were all lined up outside. A man came out from a car and read up (from a paper) things stalin had done for us. We all started to cry. then when the man was done,we were sent back to the prisons again. i looked at everyone, and then i asked "why are we crying?"" (they were of course all innocent,by the way. Stalin put millions of innocent people in labor camps, based on false accusations)
what places? can you tell names? :-D

What did you think of the dairy of ann frank?
Did ms. Frank become a zionist?

Well to be honest these places have gone down hill since when I could remember from young, nowadays its like people are losing interested, me myself I don't even real go like I use to but I guess its still good that there still there
3 community center, not exactly tourist attractions but a nice place to go and have a cup of tea and maybe a quick debate

Halk evi in dalston, hackney( haven't been in years)
Kurdish is in Haringey green lanes
And komkar in hornsey

Haringey( green lanes) in its self is a place to visit '' little kurdistan" the amount of mini markets, kebab shops and jewelers all cremed on to on steet its crazy, but like I said its not like how it use to be, capatilisim has taking its toll on things

So are you reading anything at the moment?

i just finished ''into kurdistan''
well written, i dont know how to explain it, she wrote it with out forcing the point. written the way it is
the firts part of the book is about hear travels threw north kurdistan and adventure with kurds, the the second part is about her visits to the refugee camps after halabja

reading about our peoples struggles make me feel embarrassed of my self, knowing even today my great people are suffering while im laying on my back, what can i say

im looking to move on to her second book ''kurdistan after the gulf war''...............

The last book I've read about Kurdistan is " Kurdish National Movement, it's origins and development" by Wadie Jwaideh. It's a really great book that I recommend you to read.
